Shalom, peace, and good tidings. I am a grateful believer and child of Love. My first Koinonia weekend was in October of 2013 (SCK-31). I am honored to serve as the chair person this year for our Colorado Koinonia Continuance Board. I first came to the Lord our Savior in August 2009 after calling out in sincere repentance
and desperation. A destructive lifestyle and poor choices left me questioning my very existence
and meaning. I called and He answered with the Love only Jesus Christ can give. Sixteen years later, through the good and the painful, I am blessed with 2 kids, a loving wife and family. I am grateful for my Koinonia family and honored to participate as we continue to walk in love and hope to carry and bring up the next generation. My daughter Tate will be the next Layleader coming up this fall weekend. I was born into and raised in a career military family, which gave me the wonderful opportunity to experience living and growing in numerous states and European countries. I came to Colorado in 1964 to go to school. I found and fell in love with my forever state and have never left. My first Koinonia weekend was K-128. I am blessed to be a part of such a great God and Jesus Christ centric community. My husband and I shared forty-nine years of love, life, and adventure before he passed. I have retired after enjoying a life long career as a Registered Nurse and Registered Respiratory Therapist.

The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful family in Koinonia! My first weekend was K-76 in October of 1998. I've had the privilege of serving on many weekends and have seen the Lord change lives over and over! I was even blessed to be the Layleader in October 2004 and have served numerous times on the Colorado and also the Southern Colorado Koinonia Continuance Boards in various positions. Koinonia is such an important part of my life that my wonderful husband Jim and I met in Koinonia in 2001 and were married in 2004. I am honored to serve the Lord in other ways such as on the worship team at our church. I've also worked at the same company for over 44 years, and Lord willing will retire in less than a year.
Mentor Coordinator - Gilda M
Hello, I've been with Koinonia since 2014. I am the Mentor Coordinator on the Denver Board for the second time, serving since 2020. I currently attend and teach as the Preschool Teacher at Rock Church in Castle Rock. I have been a born again believer for almost 35 years. I have 3 adult children: Amber, Daniel, and Katie. I love praise and worship concerts and my favorite artist is Third Day. I have 6 Grandchildren and a Granddaughter due to arrive possibly on my birthday, January 12. I have attended and hosted small share groups and have been a Happy Hair Lady for 45 years. I was born in Connecticut but moved here 33 years ago. I love to pray with whomever needs prayer and enjoy having dinners with my friends. I have also been a nanny for a military child for the past 10 years. Serving the Lord is the best assignment anyone could have and I enjoy all of them.

I asked Jesus to be my Savior over 25 years ago after running from Him my whole life, all the while knowing who Jesus was and the sacrifice He made in exchange for my eternal soul. There was no longer a way of
reasoning Him out nor denying the countless small miracles I witnessed while I was heading for destruction. The true Christians that God had placed in my life is what made the difference. Matthew 5:16 “Let your
light so shine before men, that they may see you good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.” This is how people get saved. I want to encourage you to let your light shine before men and restore a lost brother or sister, you will barely have to say a word. God will do it for you, as it should be.
I first attended a Koinonia weekend in 2001 on K-84. I met my wonderfully lovely wife in Koinonia in 2002 and we were married in 2004. Koinonia is a very important part of my life and I've enjoyed serving on many weekends and on both the Denver and Southern Colorado Koinonia Continuance Boards.
Outreach Coordinator - Kirsten A
I am originally from Southern California, and transplanted to Colorado in the late 80's. I came to the Lord in 1973 when I was 10 years old. I grew up in a troubled home and my mother was a Christian, it was her example and prayers that gave me a trust in Jesus my Savior. I went to Christian school, was active in church but was sheltered and left the church to live a life in the world for over 30 years. I was married and had 3 children, now grown. Due to the Lord's unrelenting love and faithfulness, I repented and rededicated my life to God in 2015 and He eventually led me to an awesome church where I met Linda A and was invited to Koinonia. My kids are now grown, I have 4 grandchildren, including a 4 month grandson, Neko, 3 grand cats and 2 very adorable fuzzy felines of my own. My heart is for sharing Jesus' love and forgiveness, by example, service, and word of mouth. I love to sing His praises and enjoy, spending time with friends/family, decorating spaces, art, and crafting too. I also work at an Arts organization in Denver
Pre -K Coordinator - Ellen S
I am the new Pre-K coordinator for the term of 2026-2028. I have been with Koinonia since K-99. I have served on many retreats and been an Assistant Lay Leader for SCK-50. I took several years off because of cancer in the beginning of 2023 and have been cancer -free for 3 years as of August 2027.
I have been married to Peter for 8 years and our anniversary is March 10, 2018
We have no children or pets, we live in Wheatridge, CO in the same house Peter grew up in. I love coloring, angels, lambs and my favorite color is yellow.
Koinonia has been my best support.

I am a 5th generation Colorado native, born to Kim and Clyde Miller, both very active Koinonians as well. They started going to Koinonia in 2013, when I was around 13 years old, so I kind of grew up knowing a lot of Koinonians before I got to go to my first retreat in fall of 2018. I was so excited to finally be going on one of these retreats, and it exceeded my expectations! I love being a part of this wonderful community. I have a husband that is, unfortunately, a non-believer at this time; we've been married since 2022, but have been together since 2014. I also live with our 2 cats, 3 snakes, and 1 lizard. I have a big passion for animals, as I am a Registered Veterinary Technician, helping save animal lives every day! In my spare time, I love horse riding, archery, practicing and enjoying art of any kind, and playing video games.
Spiritual Director Coordinator - Bruce D
I went to my first Koinonia weekend, SCK-13, in October of 2007. I’ve been involved in a lot of weekends over the years, both SCK and Denver. It was largely because of Koinonia I was blessed with a wife, Angela, in August of 2010, I also became the father of 2 boys. Joshua and Nathaniel who are adults now. I was honored to be the Lay Leader for SCK-26 in Feb 2012. At the promptings of my friend, Sharon, I became a Spiritual Director in 2018.
Serving now as the SD Coordinator for Denver Koinonia.
I have been a heavy fleet mechanic for most of the last 43 years. I’m getting close enough to retirement that I can see it.

I am a Colorado native and I have only lived out of the state for a job transfer to Illinois for 3 years but came back to Colorado as soon as I could.
My first retreat with Koinonia was K-118 and joined the Board soon after as Treasurer which lasted 7 years.
I am newly retired and began volunteering at an organization which assists seniors with various needs.
In my spare time I am learning to fly fish, joined a gym, hiking with friends, and visiting friends and family who live in Arizona and Idaho.
Ultreya Coordinator - Chrisla L
I'm a native of Colorado. I was born in a log hospital in Kremmling and was baptized in the log Presbyterian Church in Granby. Today, Chruch of the Eternal Hills is a big beautiful church between Granby and Fraser. My first weekend was K-37, in November 1986, and was held at Ponderosa in Black Forest. Both my mom and dad were very active members for many years.
I was elected to the board at the June election in 1987. I've served on the Denver board in many positions over the years. I have also served many terms on the SCK board.
I'm always amazed to see the transition of people from their arrival on Friday night to getting their fish and loaves on Sunday. Knowing the impact Koinonia has on our brothers and sisters in Christ makes the 40 years I've been active worth every minute.
If you haven't considered joining one of our Koinonia boards, prayerfully consider doing so. You serve with others to keep Koinonia alive and going strong.

Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM to Morrie and Vicki. I have a brother, Aaron and a sister, Tanya. We were taught to love the Lord by my parents who were transformed by the power of God in the late 1960's. I moved to CO in 1994. I have three girls, Jordan, Victoria and Kayleigh and 5 grandchildren (all Jordan's). I like horseback riding, hiking, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
