Colorado Koinonia welcomes adults with Christian beliefs, without regard to church affiliation. The Koinonia community helps individuals feel God's purpose in their life through prayer, fellowship, and sharing of common experiences. In feeling God’s grace, individuals can focus on becoming more committed Christians seeking to bring Christ into their families, their churches, their work and their communities.

Koinonia is a Greek word meaning "a gathering". Koinonia can also mean “fellowship", "sharing in common", and "communion.” Christian fellowship is a key aspect of the Christian life. Believers in Christ are to come together in love, faith, and encouragement. That is the core of Koinonia. Phillipians 2:1-2 (NIV) states, “If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make My joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.” Koinonia is being united in purpose and serving alongside each other. Our sharing with each other is based on our common "koinonia" or fellowship with Jesus Christ.
